Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic

Toby Keith is gearing up for his Annual Golf Classic to benefit the Toby Keith Foundation and Ok Kids Korral.

The 13th annual event will take place June 3rd-4th at the Belmar Golf Club and Riverwind Casino in Norman, Okla. Proceeds will benefit the Toby Keith Foundation and its work with the OK Kids Korral, which Keith opened just over a year ago as a cost-free home for families and patients in pediatric cancer care.

“This event and our USO Tours are the best things we get to do all year,” Keith says. “I’ve been blessed with healthy kids, and I’m more than blessed to bring a bunch of folks together who want to help folks who haven’t. The great time we have — and we do have one, now — is a far distant second to making a difference for kids and families right here where we live.” The Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic includes a dinner and silent auction, which will also feature musical performances, on June 3rd and a twin shotgun gold tournament the next day, with golfers and celebrities competing in the morning and additional participants in the afternoon. The winner of the shootout will take home a new Ford truck.

Schooner Fall Classic

Letter From The Host, Tricia Covel

We are thrilled to host the Schooner Fall Classic for a fourth year and welcome a dozen women’s collegiate programs to Oklahoma. The tournament is taking place at Belmar Golf Club in Norman and is the only college tournament in our state that benefits a nonprofit cause. The Classic is a partnership with OU Women’s Golf and fulfills my desire to support young women and their passion for the game so many of us love. Schooner Fall Classic is different than other tournaments as we make a point to introduce each team to our community work at The Toby Keith Foundation’s OK Kids Korral. The players and coaches will meet families who are battling cancer. They will see, firsthand, that you can use your talent to benefit others.

Schooner Fall Classic begins with “The Dish”, an 18-hole College-Am. Teams will be made up of three amateurs who will be paired with three collegiate players. That evening, we will host a welcome reception full of food, fun and entertainment. The 54-hole collegiate stroke play gets underway on Saturday and continues until Monday. Schooner Fall Classic is open to the public and admission is free. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Toby Keith Foundation as they enter their third year of helping children battling cancer. Get more information on the tournament, Belmar Golf Club or The Toby Keith Foundation here. Please join us as we support our women athletes and emphasize the spirit of giving.
